About us
VLAD is the dream project of two adventurers: Véronique Lacroix and Alexandre Dupré.
Born from our love of the outdoors, our connection to the water, and our desire to help grow eco-tourism in Charlevoix, the region we now call home, VLAD invites guests to experience the river under sail.
From the Pointe-au-Pic dock in La Malbaie, we set sail to offer memorable experiences to both locals and visitors curious to discover sailing.

Drawn to adventure and always in search of beauty, Véro is the planner and voice behind VLAD. With a background in marketing strategy and building several brands, she sees VLAD as the perfect opportunity to bring her expertise to the Saint Lawrence river and the outdoors. With her eye for detail, she makes sure Mélaudine is always spotless.
Alexandre Dupré
A true outdoorsman, Alex is the Swiss Army knife of the duo. With a background in adventure tourism—as a snowmobile and ATV guide, boat captain, and now sailing instructor—he brings a wide range of experience to the water. You’ll usually find him at the helm of Mélaudine when he’s not busy polishing her up. With his sharp eye, he’s often the first to spot marine life.
